Kareena-Shahid back together
Kareena-Shahid back togetheAt the same time as there were rumours regarding the option of actresses to enact the character of Dawood’s lass Mandakini in the movie. Despite the fact that not much was spoken regarding the female protagonist playing in the movie, it was a complete puzzlement in large numbers. Well now the unclear vision is known to be clear because as per the sources Kareena Kapoor has finally been signed in for the movie. The gorgeous actress is now all geared up to enact the role of Dawood’s lass Mandakini in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2, opposite Akshay Kumar. She has given out her dates for the movie, which would be directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor.
He part of shooting will apparently be start from January 20th, 2012 which might go on to February and March too. Akshay will take the lead from where Emraan Hashmi has left off in the foremost part. As for Shahid, he will be the fresh participant in the tale. As per sources, when Dawood is there in the film, there has to be his opponent Chhota Rajan. And so the character of Chhota Rajan is as strong as the one Shahid enacted in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Kaminey. Thus he is one of the supreme selections to enact the role of Chhota Rajan in the movie and so he has been approached to enact an exceptionally extended and key function in the movie. And that is exactly what Kareena is hopping mad about.
The promos, she fumes, lead the audience to believe that she is dating Shahid again. Whereas what the filmmakers really mean is that the two are starring in a film together after their last superhit, “Jab We Met.” Kareena is going steady with her much-older actor boyfriend, the hunky Saif Ali Khan. Based on the Hollywood film “Serendipity,” “Milenge Milenge” was stuck in the cans since 2005, although Shahid and Kareena had finished shooting for it. Reportedly, Kareena recently allotted special dates to producer Boney K. to dub dialogue and shoot for a music video to give the film a current look, least it seem stale to the audience. What she fails to understand, a source claims, is how Boney could do this to her after all her extra effort she put in for the film.

Deepika prepares for London Olympics
Deepika prepares for London OlympicsDeepika Padukone is a busy woman these days. Apart from shooting back-to-back for her films, the actor is actively participating in the "Olympic Gold Quest", a programme started by her father, where athletes are not only trained for the forthcoming Olympics but also given financial and medical aidOlympic Gold Quest was started by her father. At this organization, athletes are not only trained for the forthcoming Olympics but also given financial and medical aid. Speaking to TNN, she said, ”There’s a big press conference happening in Delhi on July 26, because that’s exactly a year away from the London Olympics. Our organization is trying its best to provide the athletes with everything doctors, coaches, travel, equipment – whatever it takes for them to get out there next year and win our country laurels. There is a lot of talent in our country. But unfortunately we don’t have the resources to help our athletes.

Bankofbaroda
Bankofbaroda LKP is bullish on Bank of Baroda (BoB) and has recommended buy rating on the stock with a target of Rs 1086 in its July 28, 2011 research report. “Bank of Baroda (BoB), reported PAT growth of 20% yoy Q1FY12. NII and PAT for Q1FY12 were inline with our full estimates for FY12. Advances of the bank grew by 25%/2.1% yoy /qoq. Domestic credit grew by 24%/(0.5)% yoy/ qoq driven by growth in SME by 31%/3.7% yoy/qoq and retail 24%/(4.6)% yoy/qoq. Management has guided that the bank will grow advances 200-300 bps ahead of industry growth. However, the traction in loan book seen in previous years is likely to slow due to lower sanctions in FY12.
Further increase in lending rates beyond its July 2011 base rate hike is likely to moderate credit demand. The bank’s deposit grew by 23%/2.5% yoy/qoq while CASA grew 17%/(0.4)% yoy/qoq. The bank maintained CD ratio ~74% and CASA share of ~28%. However, the outlook and trend in domestic CASA does show a possibility of pressure on CASA share.” “NIMs for Q1FY12 were 2.9% v/s 2.9%/3.1% yoy/qoq (Q4FY11 NIMs adjusted for tax refund). Higher cost of funds and lower pass on through yields on the domestic book has resulted in lower NIMs qoq. The bank has raised deposit rates by 100bps in Q4FY11 and base rate by 75bps in Q1FY12 and subsequently in July 2011. Thus we expect the impact to show up in Q2FY12 NIMs. Going forward we expect NIMs to remain under pressure as monetary policy tightening continues.”

CRI
CRI am on holiday myself, after enduring the delights of Charles de Gaulle airport, a delayed flight, Air France and seven hours over the Atlantic with two little cabbages. (Mr. Mommy en France is wisely joining us at a later date, so missed the excitement of travel with toddlers.) I'm thankfully now enjoying a much needed break from the office, from urban life and even from blogging and my adventures on line. I must confess, however, that I am addicted to work and to the online environment. I am not very good at "downtime", I never have been. So taking a vacation is always good, but also a little hard for me. I am often tempted to check my work messages or see how things are going in the blogosphere. Goodness, I'm even writing this post on holiday, while the little cabbages are off visiting a farm.
My life has been like this for a long time, so it's difficult to detach when away. My work life requires me to spend the majority of my time at a computer, while my phone allows me to keep up with tweets and emails and rss feed during my rare free moments between 9h00 and 18h00. In the evenings, once the little cabbages are sweetly tucked up into bed, I am often at my sewing machine and very often on my computer or iPad. Wednesdays and weekends are dedicated to the little cabbages and Mr. Mommy en France, so things are a bit slower, more family focused, but the digital hum is always there.
(The drama continues after the break)
And I seem to have created for myself far too much with which to keep up. I blog here, I keep a private family blog (more of an online photo journal for family and friends far and wide), I tweet, I use Google + and Facebook, I adore Pinterest and Stumbleupon, I use Flickr, I follow a range of people in all this channels. I even email still (how old school of me, I know). And I pretty much manage to do this for three: my personal and professional lives, plus my sewing and crafting life as Mommy en France.
