Kawakami Tomoko Via ANN, it’s been announced by the Japanese agency, Production baobab, that voice actress Tomoko Kawakami has passed away after a long bout of illness. According to Sankei Shimbum, she had been undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer. She passed away on Thursday at 4:45 PM according to the report at the age of forty-one.We here extend our condolences to her friends and family and that they know that her work has inspired and warmed the hearts of many others throughout the world that.
she’ll never know she touched.Kawakami has long been a popular voice actress in Japan and has had a sizable following in Western anime fandom circles as well for work in such shows as Revolutionary Girl Utena, I’m Gonna Be An Angel, Chrono Crusade, Air and A Little Snow Fairy Sugar. Kawakami had been giving up certain roles in the last few years due to surgery and illness but she still managed to get in a few smaller roles to keep active.
