She claimed Olivia died while trying to climb out of her playpen and fell, while the prosecution argued that it was impossible that a fall from that small height could have caused the 3.5-inch fracture on Olivia's skull and the bleeding/swelling that was found in her brain. Brumfield was acquitted of first-degree murder.
